My Lady Quaker is a happy girl!~

My Lady Quaker
Jardin Prive Designs
40 ct Lakeside Light Exemplar
GAST Dark Chocolate/Holly Berry
Well, here is my latest completion!!! My Lady Quaker (I call her lil ms thang~~!) was completed in the last few days...sorry for the "wavy" photo...I guess either I didnt have her laying down flat or she was shaking those hips at me!~ Anyway, I was pleased with the outcome...The dark brown and paler red seemed to be a good compliment to one another....

36 ct linen-coffee stained and baked by me

And even though the photo does not do my coffee stained and baked linen much justice, it truly is stained just like I like it~!! Vonna is a genius! Her step by step tutorial is perfect! And thanks to my buddy Karen SC for giving me the encouragement to go out on a limb and try this technique.... I need that nudge and it worked!~~ Thanks ladies.

What will my next adventure bring??? It could be another block in SoHRH, finishing some much needed attention to finishing the MANY smalls I have on hand or it just might start a new Quaker sampler...I have some red overdyes begging to be put to good use!.....So, will keep you posted....Happy stitching everyone and hope you are getting ready for spring like I am~ Faye

  25. Truly lovely! I hadn't seen that design before and it's so charming. You did a great job on her. I'm going to have to learn about Vonna's technique for dying fabric. I love the look and get tired of paying for someone else to have "antiqued" the fabric.
