I wanted to share a few photos of some stitchy gifts, both given, and received this holiday season.....
For my dear sweet friend Marylin, of France, I wanted to stitch and sew her something... So, of course, I combined the idea and made her a table scarf...

And an ornament using the snippets left from the table runner fabrics....
...and, I wanted her to know I made an exact replica to keep for myself.... I will always call it my Marylin ornament...
Of course, I squealed with delight when a package for me arrived from France..... Can you see why???
I was spoiled in a most fantastic way!!!! Chocolates, French wine and sweet bread....heavenly soap, toffee candy and a nice sized hoop..... And Sajou scissors.... Marylin really knows how to speak to my heart!!!
Thanks so very, very much dear Marylin!!! The wine WAS good, the chocolates ARE good and the hoop with scissors WILL be put to very good use!!!!!
Additionally, Michelle CA showered me with a very unexpected gift of seasonal colors and scents.... Feast your eyes...
When I opened the box, smells of vanilla and freshly baking muffins filled my room....she had found many vintage bias tape, ribbons and trims for me...overdye flosses, fat quarters and linen to stitch..... Wow!! Michelle, you know me all too well! Thanks again dear friend....
And since my mind has been focused on stitching incorporated into sewing..... Here is a quick glimpse of some of the gifts I made for others.....
If you've hung in with me this long, I thank you.....I have had a few if you to email me about my finishing service..... I welcome you to dig through those boxes and drawers, find those older stitched pieces and send them on to me! Email if you'd like details.... I would love to help you fill baskets and wooden bowls of stitchies for this upcoming year!!!
