Emma parties and a new baby quilt~~~

Greetings from North Carolina!~
I have a little news to report about Ms Emma Rose Freedom and her great Memorial Day weekend!

Emma Rose Freedom
Tree of Life Samplings
40 ct Confederate Gray linen~specified GAST threads

Emma showed up for the party....
The grass had been planted and trimmed nicely....

She even brought her flag for the patriotic holiday festivities.....

She even practiced her alphabet.....

We reminded ourselves that it truly "tis a gift to be free..."
(Check out the Symrna cross stitch surrounding the banner...)

Emma Rose Freedom just may be completed this week....She still needs a quilt star, a bird and her banner to be filled in.....so, soon, she may be done and ready for a finishing technique..

*********************************

Today after school, we honored one of the sweetest teachers you'd ever meet....She is getting ready to welcome the arrival of her baby boy this summer....Once she had decided to have a race car themed nursery, I knew I would need to get myself busy! I searched high and low and found just the right fabrics with that checkered flag theme.... Here is the finished product, it all its glory~~~
I had the best fun putting this baby quilt together....

The colors are fun and vibrant...The black and white check is the backing fabric....

And I stitched his initials along with 2012 and sewed it in one of the quilt squares to wish this darling child many blessings.....

*******************

Come Sunday, I will have my Adam and Eve Sampler update.... Until then, here's hoping the last 2 days of your workweek are wonderful!~~~~

Many blessings,

Faye
