My Giving Back Giveaway.....

Happy Thanksgiving evening everyone!
Most of you have enjoyed your festivities earlier today....
At the Riggsbee house, we will be having our turkey and trimmings tomorrow...
I cannot wait...Cake is baked, pies are cooled...
tomorrow will be alot of fellowship and fun!!
 
I took today to put the finishing touches on a special Christmas gift that will be travelling to France on Monday....I definitely cannot reveal those details quite yet...but, I also spend hours putting together some goodies for my "2012 Giving Back Giveaway..."
 
 I'm fortunate. I have what I need. I'm rich with friends, family and memories.
 
I. am. blessed.
 I would like to share my handiwork with one of my blog friends.....

A scissor fob....(scissors not included...sorry...)
 
 
 
Isn't the back cute also???? And, notice the buttons and dangling charm.....
 
A couple other surprises will be included, but here is only a teasing glimpse of them...
 
 
hmmmm..... Just a few carolinastitcher handmade goodies to add to your Christmas decor....
 
I actually dreamed up the giveaway fob after drawing inspiration from a fob I had experimented making myself earlier.... Here are a few shots of my fob....

I told you I like layers....and buttons...

 
I leave you with my other finish for the day....A while back, I had completed the stitching part of the freebie design that the talented Tanya Brockmeyer had created for the PALS retreat last month....
Today, I was able to actually fill it with crushed walnut shells and sew it up...
 
 
I smile everytime I look at it because it really DOES remind me of the happy times at the retreat laughing with friends and stitching at the beach.....

    I'ts nice that you are celebrating tomorrow. It makes the holiday last that much longer. Glad to hear that you are ready and you enjoyed some stitching/finishing time today.
    I enjoyed a quiet day at home going through old magazines. I am scanning what I want out of them and then taking to the hospital with me for the waiting rooms. I know ladies magazines are always high in demand and there are so many waiting rooms there.

    Hi Faye, I'm Debbie and in a way we're neighbors at the beach. My husband and I live not far from Rehoboth Beach. We live by in the country away from all the traffic of the beach. We love to go to the beach for the day and then leave and have the peacefulness of the woods around us. The best of both worlds. I saw the piece with the insert of the spools and fell in love with it love old wooden spools for xst and quilting too. I also just love the beach design from Mrytle Beach would love to stitch it!!!? Thank you for a wonderful give away. Read your blog all the time. Debbie
