Tribute to Sandy Hook.....

Ever since Marly designed and dedicated, this sweet sentiment to those souls lost in the Sandy Hook massacre, I have not been able to get the words out of my head..... Perfectly worded...words that tug at our hearts...words that educators, as myself, will shed a tear when reading..... I simply could not let any more time pass by without pausing to put thread to linen and create..... (Click photo for up close look)

....just read the verse....

I plan on using this folded envelope in my classroom.....sitting on my desk to hold those sweet notes I receive from my First Graders...they are all so very innocent....

...the inside flap will always serve as a reminder of the angels that got their wings that day... All so pure and loving...the same age as the wonderful darlings that are in my class...

....simple x's line the edges....reminder of how some sign their handmade cards and letters.....
xoxoxo, I love you Mrs. Riggsbee

I squeeze each one of them every single day.... And although there is so much learning to do, we stop and have a little fun too... Life's just too short not too....
God bless you Marly for your inspirational words.....
If you are so inspired, look for the free chart **here**

Hoping you are warm, at peace and creating....
Faye

  31. What a beautiful sentiment, Marly, and finish, Faye. When I read over at Marly's that you were going to create the finish, I tried to imagine how you'd do it, but never thought of this. It's a perfect way to remember those darlings. Your kids are so blessed to have such a special, warm teacher to spend their young days with. Hugs!
