My Valentine Tree~~~

With Valentines Day approaching, I thought I would convert my Christmas tree in the craft room to a Valentine's tree....Here are a few pinkeeps I made...
And, here are some of the ornaments I have made.... I love the pinks, reds and creamy shades put together...

Some I have put bead borders around and others I have slip stitches together plainly to not take away from the stitching....

A few are non-traditional designs like this Quaker stocking done up in overdye pinks....

And this is what the pile of goodies lookes like before I dressed the tree....

So, good-bye my Chrismas ornies...Until next Christmas...I have packed you away...
Here's hoping everyone who is socked in by bad weather is staying warm and stitching their little fingers busily...We are very cold here in the Carolinas but fortunately have no snow...
I am off to hopefully finish up a WIP before I start something new....Will it be another block of SoHRH or my Quaker piece by My Big Toe or possibly my Quakers and Diamonds??? Happy stitching everyone!!! Faye

  9. All of your ornies are beautiful and I love the idea of a Valentine tree. I have been on the lookout for a feather tree so I can decorate it seasonally without it looking Christmasy. It is COLD here in NC, isn't it? Great weather for staying inside and stitching. :O)

  14. Faye, what beautiful little pieces - I love them all. Now my five little ornaments look so meager on my tree compared to your plethora of ornaments - (note to self: stitch more valentines ornaments so my tree looks as pretty as Faye's)

  17. Wow!! Thank you everyone with the emails and complimentary posts!! The valentine pinkeep in photo one and the sampler ornie in photo three are both from a VERY old Prairie Schooler chart called "From the Heart" circa 1988.The larger heart ornie in photo five is from Better Homes and Gardens freebie circa 2005...I appreciate all your loving comments! 21. Those are ALL beautiful! It is making me want to stitch ornaments for a Valentine's tree of my own. :)

Do you keep the tree up year round and change ornaments out seasonally?

Have fun stitching on whatever you decide on next. They all sound like fun choices.
