As promised....My Patriotic tree!!

I have had so much fun these past 6 weeks getting ready to redo my craft room tree.... So, this will be my summer themed tree....

There are 2 "4th of July" (LK) ornaments on because I also finished one that Michele had sent me last summer in the Summer Fair/Square exchange.... Here it is front and center with the plaid buttons...
I decided to use American flags in the topper....simple...
All of these of ornaments, pinkeeps and mini-pillows will hold a special place in my heart as I use them year after year....
Lastly, I would like to wish my son and his golf team the best of luck~ They are flying out of Raleigh this morning headed to the Junior College Golf National Finals in Chautauqua, NY! This group of young men are all awesome golfers and we are all so proud they are representing our region of the country as they pursue this national title...Its such an honor to have gotton this far and we know you will go to have fun, play good golf and enjoy your teams rewards~~~ Good luck Phillip!~~

Here's hoping everyone has a great weekend!!! Try to stay cool....((Hugs)) from me to you~ Faye

  1. Faye, your Patriotic Tree is just fabulous, it's a fantastic idea to change the theme according to seasons & events - absolutely love it and very inspiring - here in England cross stitch charts representing our country are virtually non-existent but as I feel the States is my second home & we plan to return later in year I am truly inspired to do the same.
Good luck Phillip & team xxx

  7. OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!! My mouth is open in awe. I love love love it. What an awesome display--you should be so proud of yourself.

Best of luck to Phillip and his team! I'll have to remember to tell my DH... he still has your area's temps up on his home page so I get daily forecast updates from him--just so I'll know what it would be like if we lived there. ;) Anyway, best of luck to him!

  26. Faye, How beautiful your tree is. Just the right amount of items to make them all stand out. Love the tree topper, the bow is wonderful and the flags are perfect. The founding fathers would be proud. Looks like something Besty Ross would have done if she had more time to devote to fun stitching instead of stitching all those stars and stripes on that huge flag she did for us all. God bless Besty and God bless Faye.
Have a great summer and wonderful 4th enjoying your tree.
