Elizabeth Emma Bice Wade Sampler progress.....

There is not alot of progress to show on Eliz.Emma Bice Wade's Sampler...But she has sprouted leaves around the border...And there are now 4 flowers... Whew! This border is intense people!!! I love the overall look once done, but those creme flowers will be my biggest challenge...creme on creme...
on 40 ct no less!! Believe it or not, the leaves have 4 shades of green in each of them...

So, 4 flowers down, and 17 to go.... I would love to know this could be a finish in Feb/March...

Here's a close up of those tonal flowers.... It will all be worth it!!
Here's hoping everyone has a good week...I have a very busy one lined up but hope to manage to finish a couple private exchange pieces and a special baby project that has been in the making for 5 months now.

More on that later............

Happy Stitching,  Faye

  1. That is going to be amazing when done, Faye. So delicate...I know how time consuming it is though, to have so many color changes. You can do it, you stitch faster then the speed of light!

    Enjoy your week! Jan

  3. Beautiful so far. I always have trouble stitching when the fabric and fiber are the same or a very similar color.

I'm hoping that you are not having to have school on Saturday any longer to make up for snow days.

  20. It's so pretty, Faye! I hate working on borders but the result is worth it in the end. I keep reminding myself that slow and steady wins the race... or finishes the sampler! ;) Have a good week!

  21. Very pretty, and of course it will be well worth it in the end. One flower at a time, and it will be complete... Take care during this busy week, just a few minutes of stitching will calm the day and meet the finish goal!
