While I have power.....todays update....

I wish I could tell you that the snow has melted and there is no ice..

I cannot tell you that because we are still like a virtual ice skating rink here...ice is laying heavy on the beautiful pine trees..

That is why I decided last night that I would continue with Anniversaries of the Heart~Blackbird Designs
and begin my 8th block..

Please excuse my lack of backdrop design elements...I am sitting in the stitch chair where the best lighting is.....

I thought I would take a quick snap and post while we still have power....

Where ever you are, I hope your day is going well and you are spending some time relaxing and enjoying yourself~~~

Peace,

  12. I saw pictures on the news of some crazy person skating down the roads! I can't believe your weather. Stay safe and warm and take advantage of being inside. Winter Garden looks wonderful and I hope that the power stays on so you can stitch some more of it.

  14. May the snow melt quickly and may your power not go out (just the worst, in my opinion is sitting around at 5 p.m. with nothing to do but go to bed). Snow garden is such a pretty stitch, and way more appropriate than you'd like, probably.

  15. Faye,
Thank you my friend for your prayers! This poor family is so poor and the daughter Anglynn is the young momma that I keep under my wing. Her 11 month old and 2 year old just got temporarly removed from her since the baby got hurt. That happened yesterday and now today they have lost their house. (The baby fell down the stairs and fractured her skull, so until they determine that it was an accident the state took her kids away!) I know that family would never hurt those kids! So today is so heartbreaking for them, DFACS was suppose to come to their house tomorrow to make sure the house was safe for the kids to come back home too, now they have no house. Pray Faye, I'm pleading to God for his help for this family! Sorry to unload, but it's so hard to just watch and not be able to do anything. :(

  16. While it feels cold enough for snow, all we got was rain! I could have used another day at home before tax season starts.

Hopefully you will keep your power so that you can stay warm and stitch through that lovely BBD on your mini vacation from school.

    Stay safe!

I hope everything goes well and you don't lose power. We came through oksy but I want that skating rink in the front yard to go away.

  21. Hopefully your power stayed on, Faye. I hate the thought of the ice taking down branches from those beautiful pine trees--hope it melts quickly.

Your BBD piece is gorgeous--very soft and peaceful looking. I hope things warm up down there for you soon :)
