I wish I could tell you that the snow has melted and there is no ice..
I cannot tell you that because we are still like a virtual ice skating rink here...ice is laying heavy on the beautiful pine trees..
That is why I decided last night that I would continue with Anniversaries of the Heart~Blackbird Designs
and begin my 8th block..
Please excuse my lack of backdrop design elements...I am sitting in the stitch chair where the best lighting is.....
I thought I would take a quick snap and post while we still have power....

It's lovely Faye! I am still trying to decide if I want to stitch this all on one piece!
ReplyDeleteI hope you stay warm and don't loose your power.
This is coming along nicely Faye!!I hope you don't loose your power! Gotta love this time of year!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, Faye. I hope you don't lose power. We lost our power for quite a while with that blizzard that went through. Not fun. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWOW I thought it was cold here in KY but I think it is a lot worse there as for now, no ice. Be careful and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteLovely progress.
ReplyDeletebeautiful piece
ReplyDeleteGoodness Faye....ice and snow make for a quick stitcher! Looks great...hope you are staying warm.
ReplyDeletehappy stitching....
Gosh! I hope you don't lose power.
ReplyDeleteLovely design, it's looking great
Sounds like we're in the same "snow boat" :)I hope your power stays on; we hold our breath around here, but so far we've not lost power. Winter garden is looking good!
ReplyDeleteBabs
That is really looking pretty, Faye! Stay inside and be safe. We're getting snow right now but no ice.... I hope!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - enjoy the stitching time!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Stay warm and safe. I am so glad to live in FL. I hated dealing with icy conditions.
ReplyDeleteYour Snow Garden is looking beautiful. An appropriate piece to be stitching! Hope your power stays on and that the ice is gone soon!
ReplyDeleteYou are making me want to stitch these Faye and lord knows I don't need another thing to stitch right now. LOL I hope your power stays on - be safe girl! Sorry to hear about the Saturday makeup days - that bites!
ReplyDeleteI saw pictures on the news of some crazy person skating down the roads! I can't believe your weather. Stay safe and warm and take advantage of being inside. Winter Garden looks wonderful and I hope that the power stays on so you can stitch some more of it.
ReplyDeleteYour piece looks gorgeous. I hope you don't lose power. Stay safe and warm (written from the frozen realms of southeastern NC)!
ReplyDeleteMay the snow melt quickly and may your power not go out (just the worst, in my opinion is sitting around at 5 p.m. with nothing to do but go to bed). Snow garden is such a pretty stitch, and way more appropriate than you'd like, probably.
ReplyDeleteFaye,
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend for your prayers! This poor family is so poor and the daughter Anglynn is the young momma that I keep under my wing. Her 11 month old and 2 year old just got temporarly removed from her since the baby got hurt. That happened yesterday and now today they have lost their house. (The baby fell down the stairs and fractured her skull, so until they determine that it was an accident the state took her kids away!) I know that family would never hurt those kids! So today is so heartbreaking for them, DFACS was suppose to come to their house tomorrow to make sure the house was safe for the kids to come back home too, now they have no house. Pray Faye, I'm pleading to God for his help for this family! Sorry to unload, but it's so hard to just watch and not be able to do anything. :(
While it feels cold enough for snow, all we got was rain! I could have used another day at home before tax season starts.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you will keep your power so that you can stay warm and stitch through that lovely BBD on your mini vacation from school.
Stay safe!
Snow days make great stitching days. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWinter Garden is so pretty. I love the colors and the peacock.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything goes well and you don't lose power. We came through oksy but I want that skating rink in the front yard to go away.
This is coming along beautifully. It's such a delicate piece. I'm sitting in the middle of a blizzard right now also.
ReplyDeleteLove the BBD! We are still ice around here too. Stay inside and stay safe!
ReplyDeleteHopefully your power stayed on, Faye. I hate the thought of the ice taking down branches from those beautiful pine trees--hope it melts quickly.
ReplyDeleteYour BBD piece is gorgeous--very soft and peaceful looking. I hope things warm up down there for you soon :)
I really like this. I know what you mean about power. We are holding our breath hoping that the power does not go out as well. Happy stitching!!
ReplyDeleteYour BBD piece is absolutely beautiful Faye.
ReplyDeleteThe colors in it are so peaceful and serene.
Hope the power holds out for you. Still no school?
We are out today so I'm going to stitch my day away!
Oh that's so pretty! I hope you'll be OK, losing power is no fun at all.
ReplyDeleteYour AoTH is beautiful! I hope you are able to stay warm and do not lose power.
ReplyDeleteGreat days for stitching, aren't they? Loving every needle-full. Your Snow Garden is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Hope you will continue to have power. Stay warm and keep stitching!
ReplyDeleteFaye, I love your AoTH ! Would you mind letting me know what fabric you are using for it? You've probably mentioned it before, but I didn't catch it. Thanks !!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree that snow days do make good stitching days, I wish we had more! But I hope the weather's not giving you too much trouble and fingers crossed that you don't lose your power. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteLove your progress on your BBD. I hope you stay warm with power - but enjoy your unexpected time at home...
ReplyDeleteI love Snow Garden! I just with the literal one that we have right now would melt. lol. Stay warm and safe!
