Give and ye shall receive~~~


I work with one of the sweetest ladies you would ever meet and she is expecting her first baby..

I knew I wanted to stitch her something special and when she told me the nursery would be in a "Barnyard" theme, I knew exactly what I wanted to make..
And it would involve a Prairie Schooler chart..

But, it was a big deal for me because I typically stitch and have things framed or make a pillow...

Us being educators, I knew I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and make a quilted baby book..

So, this is what I came up with...
And gave it to her at today's baby shower after school....

 This really was a fun project!! Its not perfect, but it was made with alot of love...

So, after todays baby shower, I came on home to find.....I had been graciously gifted this cute pillow by dear Karen....It is so prim and PERFECT!!  Even the handmade pins are PERFECT!!
Karen, you are the best!!

Thanks so very much my friend!! I have it placed at the base of my Valentines Day tree in the craft room!

Okay, I am headed to a little grilled chicken off the grill....Hubbie cooked supper..YEAH~~

    OMG Faye...that is the cutest baby gift! You did a great job and I know both mom and baby will treasure it. I know my sewing skills are too limited to "steal" this idea. Too cute.
