My last day in the craft room......very Patriotic~~~It's a GOOD thing!

Is that title mysterious enough????  Well, today is actually my last day in the craft room at its current location....Tonight and tomorrow we will be packing, loading and moving my dear son to Charlotte to his new apartment to ready himself for college.....I will be an empty nester! YIKKEESS~~ The upside to all this, is that the downstairs rec room, that he has been using as his bedroom, will now become the new and larger craft room~~ I am excited and terrified all at the same time! Packing stash into boxes kinda shakes you to your core..... Moocho stuff!!  So, I will be taking the next month or so to unpack, organize and get things just like I want it.....I'll keep you posted!

Today, I had 2 orders to finish up for a couple ladies....One has asked to not post the photo since it is a gift for her sister that probably will be reading the blog....The other finish made me laugh....Check out this verse.............

I have no idea who the designer is, but I had to laugh!!  I will show the rest of her Christmas ornaments I finished for her another time.....I wanted to get to showing you my patriotic finished finishes.....

I enjoyed sewing today....It really gives me great feeling of completion when those finished stitched pieces finally come together~~ I plan on using alot of my older patriotic ornies to decorate my craft room tree once I get set up....These will be put in another Patriotic basket for display...

Well....better get back to boxing up things....cross your fingers!~

Happy stitching,

Faye

  4. Love all your patriotic stitching, just wonderful. Enjoy your new craft room. When my daughter moved out I got her room. I guess that is how alot of us get a room to ourselves. (My husband got our son's room, it's smaller, hehe)

  6. Fantastic patriotic finishes! I love all of them!

I have seen that Josiah Turner piece before but I can't remember who the designer is. If I remember, I'll let you know.

And Yoo hoo on the new craft room. I know that getting the new space has been a touch time with your son moving to Charlotte - they grow up so fast and you wonder where the time went - but a new and improved space to work in is always a good thing.

  7. I have given it thought to combine my current room with the DS's and make a HUGE room. But, I think there could be a problem --- it would be bigger than our living room! Oops.

LOVE LOVE LOVE your finishes. I sit here with my mouth hanging open wishing. They are beautiful.

I haven't dared to claim my daughter's room yet, and she's going to be a senior this coming fall. What's your secret? :D

  30. OH MY GOSH!!! How fabulous are they?!? They're gorgeous! BTW, my friend Carol, who reads blogs but doesn't comment on them (I don't think), sent me an e-mail after reading your last post with some patriotic finishes and said that she just loved everything you did, that the two of us need to get cracking. We've been saying that for the last few years. I am just in love with everything you did!!

Not sure if this was answered yet, but that super adorable design that you finished in the first photo is by Notforgotten Farms. I have been meaning to stitch it forever.

Good luck getting used to the empty nest and to setting up your new room!!

  48. Just started following your blog! Love your patriotic finishes! You know that when you come to Charlotte you are just a few minutes away from the Stitch And Frame Shop in Rock Hill. That sounds like an excuse to visit your son more often in college! I too am becoming an empty nester this year! My daughter will be going to Salem Women's College in Winston Salem (Old Salem). It is exciting to think about some personal freedom from the daily parental duties!
