Merry Primitive Christmas...Thank you Primitive Hare~~~~~

Greetings friends~~~~ I have been busy in the craft room today finishing a few goodies...

The Primitive Hare has the cutest freebie that I have fallen head over heels over~~
As  you can see, I went CRAZY last week stitching this one...hmmm......4 times!!
I'd like to share my finishing results....


My first version is stitched on vintage exemplar 40ct with dmc 355, 3865 and 838...just as the designer called for....I envisioned hemp rick-rack, twine and rusty bells...

I have gotton into layering embellishments...ribbon, twine, bells and a button......

Then, I thought this design would could be show cased this way...

A simple little stocking...homespun and mini rickrack.....


Lined with a matching stripe fabric......

Then, I took this design into a totally different direction....

Vintage Aqua thread, Christmas pine rick rack and Vintage Aqua chenille by Victorian Motto on PTP Lupine 40ct linen....
Have you fallen in love with browns and blues like I have??

And, lastly, I saw this little cutie finished up as a simple pinpillow....


trimmed in chenille....


Again, I thank you Primitive Hare for your talents and designs....I truly loved this one!

I leave you tonight with a shot of one of my collections of  a few Christmas pillows and holiday goodies.....

    Oh, Faye, you get my vote for queen of the over- achievers! It would take me six months to do all those.

    Love them all! I am partial to the blue and brown...matches my family room! :-) The embellishment layering is a perfect touch.

    Beautiful jobs hun; I absolutly love the different finishings I think my favorite is the first one w/the rusty bells; I just ordered some of those from Country Stitches; I hope I get them soon..

    I love all of your handmades...so beautiful and great stitching. I'm just starting to stitch...Do you use 3 strand floss or the DMC 6 strand for these projects? I just adore this freebie from The Primitive Hare. I'm heading on over to pick it up!

    Oh my goodness Faye, I love your P. Hare versions...but OH MY, the items in the backgrounds of all the pics and the final shot - wow!! Not only are you a fabulous (and fast) stitcher, but an awesome finisher...I envy that skill! I love all the versions, but the first finish is my fav!

    Your finishes are amazing Faye! I have always been a big fan of blues and browns and love that finish but my favourite is the one embellished with the bells.

    I got an email from my friend that said only, "Oh no... Faye is at it again". LOL That warned me that I needed to put some plastic over the laptop before I opened up your blog. Oh my gosh!!! You never cease to amaze me with your finishes and finishing and the baskets of goodness. Beautiful!
