More than likely, this will be my last trip to the post office this week....A couple more last minute gifts are headed out...
Remember when I stitched this JCS ornie back in October? Well, yesterday I had the chance to finish it into a little pillow that you could tuck onto the branches of your tree....or perhaps place in a basket of goodies..... The Victorian Motto hand dyed barn red rick rack was a perfect match...
*************
Here is Scarlett House's "Jingle all the Way" stitched on 40 ct Woodsmoke...I did not have the called for PTP Swamp, so I used what I had.... I do want to stitch it again, however, if I can ever get my hands on some of that swampy moss linen... This was also an October stitch that has been patiently waiting to get sewn up!!
Blogger wants this picture to remain upside down....Never-the-less, you can see an upclose on the rusty jingle bells and rusty snowflake.....
***************
I stitched up one more Primitive Hare freebie for a fellow stitcher who has endured a difficult 2011.... I wanted to reach out and let her know that many of us care, whether we "know" each other or not...More info with her link once this little pin pillow is received....
I put the year and my name, along with a rusty snowflake on the back....simple.
**************
Soon, it will be Christmas day......
Merry Christmas everyone~~~
Faye

ReplyDeleteThey all look fabulous Faye.
ReplyDeleteHello, my friend. Your finishing is stellar as usual. I really love your version of Jingle. That bell with the rusty snowflake is perfect. The last cuts of swamp that I've seen haven't been close at all to what I used. It's too grass green and not swampy enough. I'm still trying to find a piece for Vonna.
ReplyDeleteI particularly love what you did with the ICS Ornie. Too, too sweet!
Have a wonderful Christmas, Faye!
Gorgeous finishes. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Faye. Love your finishes. The rusty snowflakes are a great idea. I will have to find some of them for next year. I hope to stitch Jingle all the way also. Santa is bringing me that pattern this year :)

Faye, I certainly have enjoyed "looking" around your blog - you have some wonderful needlework projects. I can no longer do cross stitch, but can do embroidery - go figure. Thanks for dropping by my blog for a visit and be sure and come back. DWH and I, plus our little Casey Gail (Cairn Terrier), live about 20miles southeast of Raleigh. Daughter lives in Jacksonville, NC so we are there often. Warmest wishes to you for a wonderful Christmas holiday. Judy C in NC
ReplyDeleteYour work is so lovely and it was such a sweet, kind and unselfish gesture to send that pinkeep to our fellow blogger. Ever since I first started blogging in April 2008, I have seen so many amazing gestures like this and it warms my heart so!! Sometimes I get so busy and think maybe I will stop blogging, but when I see something like this, it reminds why I love the blogging community so!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours a magical Christmas filled with all the blessings of the season!!
LOVELY collection !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!
BIIIIIIIIG BIGGGGGGGG HUGS
Faye, What a wonderful gesture for a fellow blogger! I love your work and your creative finishes. And to use one to help cheer up another person is touching! Thank you for posting your wonderful finishes and sharing yourself!
ReplyDeleteLovely finishes as ever. Have a great holiday with your family.
ReplyDeleteFaye - love your Jingle. I started stitching it on the swamp with the called for colors. I think I would like it better with a more cranberry thread. Would you mind letting me know the threads you used and the color of the Rick rack?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marty. Stevemarty@msn.com
Beautiful stitching and finishing! It was very thoughtful of you to stitch a gift for the stitcher who's having a rough time. A pick-me-up can do wonders for the spirit!
ReplyDeleteFound you by accident in the blog world. But I see you have stopped blogging. Just wanted to say how beautiful is your work!
