Strawberry Hill Scissor Keepe picture walk....

Greetings friends...thanks for stopping by~

First off, I'd like to thank everyone for your overwhelming response to my last post featuring " Dame of the Needles..." Wow! Looks like I'm not the only lover of all things by Brenda Gervais! And, a special thank you to those who have emailed about finishing your piece...... Thanks again for confidence in me~ it's all so inspirational~.....

For me, the past week has meant fellowship and gathering of stitching lovers! It can be so refreshing to bond with others who share our craft... And when like minds come together... Well, one thing leads to two more, on and on and on.... I love it! Which brings me to my strawberry story.......

Recently I cross stitched Strawberry Hill Huswife and I really REALLY wanted to make the Scissor Keepe afterward.... I had all the necessary supplies, so.....
Strawberry Hill

Strawberry Hill

Strawberry Hill

Strawberry Hill.

The directions are very easy to follow and it didn't take too very long.... I did add a blanket stitched edging to the piece and added blanket stitch along the edge of the pocket so as to not stretch or distort... Now I hope to sew up the Huswife.... They'll make a nice set....

Speaking of strawberries, I'll end with a few photos of handmade strawberries of mine... My practice pieces of sort...

I hope you enjoyed your walk with me through the berry patch~~~

  1. Hi, Faye,
Your little Strawberry Hill scissors keep is beautiful! You do such wonderful work. I also stitched Brenda/s strawberry Hill sewing box (made out of a Whitman's Box) and the Huswife but have yet to put it together.
