Emilia Poole.... And her twin!

Good Friday evening all...... I've just come home today from a whirlwind shop hop through parts of Maryland and Virginia~~ Oh my how so MANY of you are blessed to have a LNS( or two!) where you live~~ My traveling stitching friend ,Linda and I, were able to see several awesome LNS and Quilt shops before being called on back to NC..... We cannot wait to return!

Before leaving, I was able to put the final finish on the Stacy Nash design "Emilia Poole 1802"... A great customer of mine had stitched the set.... I had also already stitched the set.... So, I was able to finish both Emilia's at the same time..... It was a true labor of love envisioning all the special touches I wanted the Ms Emilia's to have....

I will let you be the judge of her... Of them...

Emilia Poole 1802~~Sewing Box & Book

Antique bone button along with vintage seam tape closes the book...

The Sewing Box is approximately 5" x 7" oval~

I think these ladies are so dainty.... They are stitched with the specified linen and cotton overdyes~

The bottom of the Sewing Box... I added the tiny "X's" around the seams....

They are lined and slightly padded with a coordinating bottom insert... Emilia loved her ABC's.....

This is the book folded open.... Aged velvet is the books inside and outside binding...

There are a few beautiful Blackbird Designs Strawberries inside...

I finished them with special end caps...filled with crushed walnut shells~

Isn't this a beautiful set????

I used special touches on the strawberry tops....

So... There you have it! The Emilia Twins... One now lives in PA and one lives in NC~

As always, please know you can call on me for your finishing needs~

A labor of love it will always be~

Happy stitching!

Faye

  17. You were up in my neck of the woods. What stores did you find? There are some great ones in VA and MD. Also, the Woodlawn Needlework show in March is always good and fun to stop by In Stitches cross stitch store. Love those strawberries and all the finishes.
