In God We Trust

I had the most fun stitching this freebie up from Plum Street Samplers. It was very fitting to give to Amy a few days later as a small thank you. The dmc .colors were as intense as the message. For anyone looking for a quick project that is very rewarding, and with Fourth of July holiday approaching, this is the one for you! Enjoy!!

I had the absolutely best Saturday ever visiting Amy. I got alot of time in shopping and enhancing my stash.. My favorite new purchase was the chart pack by Primitive Tradions. It is titled Abigail Colby and has a needle case, thread holder, scissor case and couple other smaller items. Amy and Nicole helped me pickout alternative threads and I went with cranberry and greens from C/C Belle Soie. I cannot wait to start! Well, no photos as I am still at the beach, but in a few weeks you will see some my of finishes! Until then....

Oh....give away on Thread Gatherer if you are into samplers...Beee-utiful one!! Check it out...
Needless to say it is VERY hot here at the beach. Taking a much needed break from the classroom! No photos today, just a quick moment to let everyone know I am away from my email and I am stitching on: Mary Wigham SAL, Beach Cottage by LHN, a couple Christmas ornaments for upcoming exchanges and really trying to organize many of my flosses. Oh, and I made the new freebie by Plum Street Samplers! Very patriotic and the dmc colors were perfect! And, I finished it yesterday, Flag Day! Paulette has a true eye for coloring. I will post a photo when I get back home but I wanted to make it for a friend that I plan on seeing this week while in SC. So, I am out of here for now....Those beach waves are calling my name....Have a great week everybody!!

Bird in the Bower finish!

Greetings from the Carolinas! What a fun piece to stitch! I just fell in love with the vibrant colors that Paulette Stewart of Plum Street Samplers had used in this one. I knew I had to stitch it...SO, a couple weeks later it is finished and I cannot wait to frame it and get it up on the walls of my craft room. The picture really does not do it justice. I did ammend the phrase on the bottom and I substituted "Wild Berries" GAST for the red thread....fyi. Keep up the great work Paulette as I hope to have more of your charts in my basket to do up soon~ Additionally, I am excited to say that I have been emailed my very first "partner" in the HoE too exchange. This will be another first for me being in an exchange program and I am quite excited. SO, that will be my next little project I will interject among my larger WIP... So, hope everyone has a really great week!
