Tansy Yarrow Rue Pocket~

Hello to all this wonderful and glorious Sunday afternoon.....

 I wanted to share with you, my latest stitch finish.... I must be into containers of late... Diddy bags, zippered project pouches, fold over envelopes and now, a pocket.

This was a most enjoyable Pineberry Lane stitch.....

Hanging on my pie safe with a few outside cuttings.......
Tansy Yarrow Rue
Pineberry Lane
25 ct Country Mocha
DMC threads as specified

Outside, on my screen porch,  I thought Tansy might want to hang out with my
 "Garden Angel" (by La-D-Da...)

Aren't those shades just beautiful??..I can feel the slight cool breeze of autumn right now.....

Or perhaps perched on one of the many birdhouses that hang on the porch wall.....

I will keep moving her around the house until she finds the perfect spot to stop and gather more flowers as they all are going to seed....a sure sign of summers end...

I wish you all a fantastic week~~May you be spared any damage from all the storms...
And, your stitching time be plentiful....

Tansy~Yarrow~Rue

Good morning all!!!  I wanted to share my latest start.... When visiting Lonestar Mercantile last weekend, I happened upon the newest design by Pineberry Lane...I LOVE their designs and couldn't resist the treat.....

Tansy Yarrow Rue
Pineberry Lane
25 ct Country Mocha
DMC floss

Rarely will you see me stitch with a hoop or Qsnap, however, when I am stitching over one or on a 25ct, I will pull them out.....Just makes for a neater stitch I think....Any other time, I stitch in hand.
I love the autumnal colors in Tansy....When Linda and I were at all the VA shops last month, we saw quite a few designs stitched on smaller counts....I loved the new look of the design when they were tiny....So, I decided to experiment on this piece......

I loved the flower patch Tansy is standing in....Looks like all the flowers are at their peak just as mine are....

AND, I wanted to make sure everyone knew about NotforgottenFarms challenge freebie.... Found **here**...Its a creative finish challenge.... Will you have the most unusual finish??? Go for it!! I am going to try my best to stitch this cute pumpkin...time permitting.....

Well,,..... Teacher Workday today....So, I need to sign off and head on in!!
Make it a great day everyone...

Hello to all~~~ I keep reading about lots of you who are getting the kiddos ready to return to school....It IS that time of year! Although we began our 6th week of school today on the Year Round schedule at our school... In about 3 weeks we will be getting ready to pause for a 3 wk break..ahhh..

I was able to celebrate with a couple stitching buds this past weekend by visiting the new and relocated location of  LoneStar Mercantile...What a feast of wools, cross stitching and everything prim....I will have more about this unique and plentiful store in the future...

I was able to gift to dear Linda a set of pouches out of the last of my BlueBerry Crumbcake fabric...I love the medium blue family and she was thrilled to have a new set of project pouches to stuff with newly kitted projects...
Happy Birthday Sister Linda!!~~
******

I did want to show you a not so wonderful photo of my progress on Hannah Jackson...I am SO loving this sampler, the linen, the silks.....

I still love the blues, greens and golds from those samplers of days gone by...

Finishing Friday......

Greetings everyone~~~

Hope your week has been fantastic as we meander through these lazy days of summer... Just think, in two short months, it will be early October and we will be looking for frost on the pumpkins!!
Enjoy each day we are given.....

I have had a busy week....My pouch orders are nearly filled, I am staging 3 customers finishing pieces and have been model stitching along with stitching on my french sampler a bit...Its been busy!

I wanted to share with you my latest finish of the Prim Sisters Club stitch I mentioned on my last post.. Nothing like taking that finished stitch and making it into something you can admire and enjoy...
The Sowing Sampler
Notforgotten Farms
Prim Sisters Club of Country Sampler
30 ct Weeks Tin Roof linen
GAST overdyes

Here are a few close ups of the gorgeous fabric that came included in the kit....
The top grey fabric in the one included...I added some of my homespuns and calicos with it as I wanted to make it into a diddie bag rather than framing it....This is the back of the bag...

And, this is the front of the bag.....at the bottom...

This is the top of the bag where I attached the corded handle....When my stitching friend Linda and I were in Virginia recently, she showed me a few tricks of the trade on making cording...( She IS a master corder!!) .....So, I decided to try my hand at turning twine into cording and it worked!
This bag may hold a few of my vintage laces....we'll see.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have been accepting quite a few finishing orders here lately and thumbs up to you guys....I am seeing alot of autumnal stitches...Perhaps small Halloween and fall trees will be going up..or, perhaps a basket of ghouish pin pillows will be perched on the hutch....I just know I am loving all the stitcheries being sent to me to finish!! Send them on!!
I leave you with a sneak peak of a little bit of what I am talking about....
Here's hoping everyone has a fantastic weekend....
and you will be enjoying family, friends and stitching...
Blessings,
Faye
Prim Sisters Club and Reflet de Soie
Thanks so much for the nice comments about my framed stitches....I had quite a few emails about the unique moulding used on AoTH and it is actually a discontinued moulding....I just got really lucky I guess...It really does lend itself perfectly to the piece....Thanks again for everyone's nice words..
I wanted to share the latest design of Prim Sisters Club from Country Sampler of WI...I am SO loving this kitted club and since the designs received so far are mid-sized, they are a fairly quick stitch....I have managed to stitch each of the three sent out so far this year....
Lori of Notforgotten Farms designed the July/Aug kit....
The Sowing Sampler
Notforgotten Farms
Prim Sisters Club
30 count Weeks Tin Roof linen
GAST overdyed threads
The overdyes are gorgeous autumnal shades....The verse is just perfect..
"my linen is my soil, my needle is my plow,
my threads are my seeds, and my words I do sow."
I look forward to the Sept/Oct Prim Sisters Club kit to be announced...
Now, all I need to do is finish this one~~~
Also, I have fallen head over heels in love with my new Adam & Eve Sampler sent to me from France by Marylin....She I have become dear friends over the course of time...Each putting thought into a special little something for the other....I recently made up a Patriotic box and sent to her....She adores everything American.... And, she knows of my love for samplers....
I just HAD to put the first stitches in Hannah Jackson 1826...take a look...
Hannah Jackson 1826
Reflets de Soie
36 ct French Vanilla Edinburgh
Au Ver A Soie silk threads
Marylin also included several Sajou goodies.... I LOVE the petite scissors!!
Take a look at those darling thread winders and beautiful pins...
Thank you so very much Marylin for showering me with these wonderful French finds!
I leave you with one more close up of the border in the Hannah Jackson sampler...
Here's hoping everyone has a fantastic weekend!!!
First, I would like to thank all of you who complimented me on Emma Rose Freedom Sampler on my last post....I truly appreciate all the kind words!
As promised, here are the latest three framed samplers I picked up from my framer last week...
Many of you followed me as I stitched them throughout 2011 and 2012....(I need to take a photography class...) so please excuse any glares...
Anniversaries of the Heart
Blackbird Designs
I thought the uniqueness of this frame molding was just perfect....(I have no idea why blogger will not rotate this photo and leave it that way!!)
Days Gone By
I simply cannot wait to show you the goodies I recieved this week from my dear French friend Marylin...She knew I wanted to stitch Hannah Jackson 1826  Sampler by Reflets de Soie so she mailed it to me!!! Truly spoiling me as she included the silk AVAS threads also~~ Along with several other goodies....I will try to photo all of these cherished items on my next post....
Need to make this post breif since we are being pounded by thunderstorms....yikkees...
Gotta sign off~~
Peace,
Faye
