Exchanges done and a new project...Another one!!

Well...been a while since posting but I have been extremely busy with making 2 pieces for exchange groups I am in. And I actually have gotton them finished and sent~! Whew! Feels good...now I can focus on some ornies for the Pals retreat and yes, I have gotton fabric and the graph "Shore of Hawk Run Hollow" in as of today...so..another start I see coming my way!! Love the soothing colors in the piece. I decided to use NewCastle 40ct Summer Khaki with the DMC flosses....My LNS got things right on out to me...so if you are ever in Raleigh NC , please stop in at Lazy Daisy and see Sarah and her staff. They are all great!

Teachers and staff went back to school yesterday to get things ready for school to start next Tuesday...can't believe it is time to welcome in another batch of little ones, but August is over half finished..Soon the leaves will be withering and turning...and it will be time for Tarheel football...(I know, but my DH grew up in Chapel Hill...) I can feel that fall crisp air right now!! Bring it on! Happy Stitching everyone~~~ Faye

What a challenging project! One that would take me way too looooong to finish, but you will have it done in no time at all. I envy you as you can whip out a project so quickly. I'll keep my eyes posted on your site as you make progress on the shores. Good luck on the stitchery and to a wonderful school year!

I can't believe you've already got that one together. I haven't even pulled the floss yet!
I need about 3 solid days of stitching just to get back in the groove.

Great new project. Hope your school year gets off to a good start. Our "big" ones start class tomorrow so I know how you feel. Don't know which is worse... college students or the kindergarteners!

Acckk! I'm think I'm gagging here at the mention of (shudder) UNC. Your blood should be red, my girl! JK I think I'm really ready for fall. It's actually been a much cooler summer (except for the past few weeks), but I'm so ready for a change and maybe less mugginess! Good luck with your new stitch. Looking forward to progress reports!

I just recently found your blog - we're neighbors, I live in Virginia. Your stitching is wonderful. What a huge project - can't wait to see your progress on it

Faye...you and Siobhan are not helping my resolve to stay away from the HRH series...every time I see these pieces I have to slap myself back into submission...I have waaaaaay too many other pieces I have had on the list to add these to it!! No, really...I do!! Course, you all know that I will probably cave and order all of them...and did someone mention a Christmas HRH??!!! Good Lord, I am only so strong ya know!! LOL!

Congrats on all your exhange finishes too! Great job...and, I am sure that the recipients will love them dearly!

HAPPY STITCHIN'

Well YGG go on Shores. You're going to love the project! I can't wait to see your progress on this! It is fun - it's large - but fun. I kind of stalled out on block 6, but I'm going to pick it up again soon! Aren't new projects the greatest???

You are a busy lady. Seemed like a short summer to me. The middle school across from us is a year-round school so they have been back for a few weeks. We live right up 54 from Chapel Hill in Graham.

I just love this project, but it is a whopper! I started it in 2008, but I only have two blocks finished and a third started. I always seem to have other things that have to be stitched. Maybe I'll make it my century project....
