How lucky was I today when I got home and saw that I had a package from Jill of "purple peacock"??VERY NICE Jill!~ I love the beautiful pinkeep she made for me as part of the LHN Exchange. She used 28ct Antique White Linen and DMC 115...And finished it into my favorite~~ For those of you who might have been lucky enough to recieve something from Jill, you know what an expert finisher she is...Jill, I love the saying (perfect for me!) and love love love the color red!~ Thanks again for making my day!~~

Now, an update from my craft room....I made the BOLD move to pull out my WIP's and just see what in the world I have on hand...I had read on several blogs that fall is "nesting" time and so I jumped on the bandwagon to inventory my own WIP....I have 19 wip's and let me tell you, I was afraid it was much more......Sadly, my oldest is from 1986 (yikees!)...the ABC's by Jean Farish...Remember Jean you oldie moldies out there??? Anyway, most of the WIP are from the 1999-2002 era.....most are unfinished Threads of Gold samplers....I and WILL be working on several of them this winter....especially those that are over half done....shame on me!~~

I have kept to my word with SoHRH and Quaker Lady....a block a month on Shores....am about to finish block 2...This piece is challenging on 40 ct but I am loving it! So, will keep you posted...

Well, must sign off to get dinner on the table guys...Have a good one!!!

Hi Faye,
Thanks for the wonderful things you said about me in your posting. I'm glad you like your exchange. It was great fun stitching and finishing it for you. Take care.

Beautiful exchange piece, Faye....lucky, lucky you!

Good luck with your 'nesting' and looking forward to seeing some of those samplers progressing with your needle!

You received a beautiful pinkeep!

I have been organizing all of my needlework too, and I have all of my WIPs together. I want to finish all the SALs I'm doing for the rest of this year, and then it's on to the WIPs. Doesn't it feel good to know they will finally be stitched again?

What a beautiful exchange! Lucky you.

YGG on checking out your WIPs. I am afraid to do that but really need to sit down and write out a list. Mostly they're fairly recent things I started and let fall to the wayside. I admit, once I got more into samplers, I tossed a lot of the older WIPs that I just didn't want to finish. I would LOVE to see your ToG sampler WIPs!

What a lovely present and so fitting.

I have been thinking I need to pull out my WIP and make a list - it might shame me into not starting another until I finish some, but I doubt it :-)

Enjoy your weekend.

Beautiful pinkeep. I think I have ABC's in my stash somewhere and never started it. Can't wait to see your progress on your WIP.

Lovely pinkeep. And you are a brave soul to count your WIP's. Awesome that you're keeping up your SOHRH, too. Have you seen the Christmas one? Gotta have it!!!

Beautiful pinkeep, Jill does great work. And so perfect for you, too. 19 wips isn't so bad!

Lovely exchange - lucky you!
Glad you stopped by my blog - welcome and hope to be connecting with you again, maybe through our mutual friend Tommye!
I see you live in Southern Pines - I love that town. My folks lived in Pinehurst for 17 years and we loved it down there.

That is such a great exchange piece! You are so lucky to receive it. And only 19 WIPS - that's pretty good! I do remember Jean Farish well and probably still have some of her patterns around here.

That's fantastic that you're ahead of schedule of Shores. I wish I had such fortitude. I baled after starting Block #6. I think the size of it scared me! Can't wait to see more of yours.
