Multi-tasking!!!

Well, we made the trip to Chapel Hill yesterday to put flowers on the headstone....but I got a little side tracked.....

If you are ever in the area, you really must stop by Thimble Pleasures Quilt Shop!! It is really a nice shop filled with all kinds of temptations!!! I fell in love with the fat quarter bundle in the "Adoring" series by Sandy Gervais for Moda......This picture really doesnt do the beautiful antiqued Christmas colors justice....16 fat quarters... And with my ever growing pile of smalls, I see several of these puppies being used for Christmas 2010 gifts!~

Oh, and here are the flowers we put on the headstone.... This is first of one of these I have ever made and plan on making it a little fuller next time....But I purposedly used flowers Nannie had in a flower arrangement at her house...She and I had bought them about a year ago and she loved putting flower arrangements together....So, I thought it fitting
to repurpose them....
Ok guys....time to get in the kitchen....I've gotta stay tuned to the weather channel and the storms due to hit the Carolinas....YIKKESSS...It could be a rainy Labor Day weekend!!

Beautiful flower arrangement - I sure your MIL would be very pleased.

I am hoping some of that rain hits us, we are so dry here!!!

You did a great job with the flowers.
The fabric is pretty too. I can see a lot of
finishes in the holiday season. If it rains you have lots of stitching time. I just hope it does not get bad.

Stay safe. I hope NC doesn't get hit hard. It is one of my favorite places to vacation. If I had the money would own a summer home in Beaufort, NC. I love the Carolina Coast.

Those fabrics are beautiful too. I just imagine all the fun things that you're going to be able to make from those.

Hope that the storm isn't too bad in your area. Stay safe!

I bet your mil would be pleased with the flower arrangement. The fabrics are very pretty and I will have to see if I can find them at my LQS....stay safe if that hurricane is coming close - and dry if you are just where it will rain hard!

Your flower arrangement looks great Faye and I know your MIL would be pleased. Those fabrics are just gorgeous. If I ever get out of the fall mode I might just be able to think about Christmas. My DH's family is heading this way tomorrow as they are evacuating the beach. I sure hope Earl stays well out to sea and speeds on by our coast.

Your fabric choices are amazing, Faye--each and every one is one I would have chosen myself! Can't wait to see how you use them.

Your mother-in-law's headstone looks so peaceful with your arrangement on top.

Do hope Earl turns himself around and marches straight out to sea...

The floral arrangement is lovely. You'll always have your special angel smiling down on you.
Stay safe with the impending storm....with luck, Earl will skirt off the coast and move away from us (*HUGS*)
