When I took a look at the 1738 Scottish Sampler by Threads of Gold, I felt like I was over half done so why not go ahead and devote the time to making more of a dent in the piece...
I feel like I have gotton alot accomplished since Jan 1.....

32 ct creme Belfast, DMC threads
Since it has been lingering in the WIP basket from 1995, its about time it be given attention and a hopeful January 2011 finish~~~

In comparison, this is how things stood until I picked it back up this week.....
Hope everyone has had a good week getting back in the swing of working..I know I am pretty tired and looking forward to my weekend~~~
Take care,

Oh my! It's gorgeous! Love the colors!
You are making me feel better about having some old WIPs .... I know that I have 2 Shepherd Bush WIP's from about 2002 / 2003. You are inspiring me to at least think about picking them back up. Beautiful stitching by the way. Weekend is almost here :o)
Yes, I am feeling the same way about my challenge. It has lit a fire under me too! The inspiration from watching all the progress on the postings has been incredible!
I feel the same way about the challenge but I did not join. I am just doing some stitching on my own. I am going to try to start and hopefully finish a small design each month. I am also shooting to finish an ornament a month. Good luck with your challenge !! It looks so pretty !!!
Beautiful Sampler and such pretty colors too. Can't wait to see what other projects you have to complete.
Thanks for sharing.

I love this challenge you're working on - very inspiring! You have some gorgeous pieces there, well done.
Scottish samplers do have these lovely alphabets, a bit like the Dutch, gorgeous colours too.
This is really a beautiful piece and something you are sure to cherish when finished. You should be very happy with your progress.
