A week ago I showed you the dainty leaves that my Elizabeth sampler had sprouted...
And, after much dedication this past week, she now has partial flowering....
I decided to get the more tedious part taken care of by stitching the outline of each flower since the outline was in a different color than the flower itself... And, the pale terra cotta shade of the flowering vein is done as well.... It might not look like much to most, but for me, it was a full week of stitching on this piece only.. So, that I consider progress..........
Here it is last week this time....
And, here is how things stand after this weeks work.....You will have to click on the picture to see the outline of those flowers though....3033 and 739 on creme 40 ct linen... not easy to show up...
Here is a closer look.......
So, now comes the filling in of those 17 remaining flowers....some are filled with 422 light tan and some are creme...... I would love to know I could fill them in this week, but like last week,, I have a couple evening commitments....So, we will see....
On to finish sewing up the baby project I have been working on for a couple months now....I will be posting about that after Wednesday....The baby shower is Wednesday after school and I dont want anyone to read about it until after I have given to the expectant mother~~~~ But, just take my word for it, it is WAY outside of my comfort zone to have tackled! Maybe I will venture to do this project again for one of my own grandchildren one day..... Is that mysterious enough for you?? hahahaha...
Happy Super Bowling everyone, Faye

Hi Faye,
I cannot wait to see your baby project. Very interested in all things "baby" since I have my first little grandchild on the way. I know what ever it is, it is going to be finished beautifully.
The sampler is stunning. I just love that type of curvy border, in fact
I have a sampler in my drawings with a graceful border like that.
Maybe I'll get to it one day or incorporate in my grandbaby sampler.
We'll see.
Many Happy Stitches,
Sandra

Hi Faye,
Your progress looks great. This is a beautiful sampler. I can't wait to see your other projects.
Happy Super Bowl!
Go Steelers!
You've made great progress. I find stitching with thread and fabric that are close to each other in color very tedious and slow going. I'm looking forward to seeing that baby project - I cannot imagine what could be outside your comfort zone!
You have made wonderful progress, and this is going to be such a beautiful finish! The colors are so soft and pretty.
WOW you have been busy, your sampler is looking lovely. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your baby project your working on.
You have been busy! Can't wait to see your flowers bloom. And the baby shower present... I'm sure Mommy will love it!
This is such a pretty sampler. I love it more and more as you progress on it. It's so simple and elegant.
That's so pretty Faye!
Faye,
It's really very elegant and beautiful. Love it!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous :)
Great progress and it looks divine so far.
Wow, not only is that on teeny tiny stitches, they are so pale. I am very impressed with what you have gotten done. Can't wait to see them filled in.
I also can't wait to hear about and see the baby project. I sounds very mysterious!
I think you made a lot of progress. Can't wait to see your baby project - I am guessing a quilt. :o)
Very pretty as is. Won't you be proud when you finish?!!
It's so gorgeous! It's always hard to stitch when the fiber and fabric are close in color. But I just love how it's turning out!
Looking good Faye! Every stitch counts so hopefully you will be through before you know it! You made great progress this week... keep on stitching!
Lovely progress, Faye! I'm excited to see your baby project, too. ;)
Such a soft and delicate looking piece, Faye--I just love it :)
Lovely sampler and the flowers are looking so pretty.
Anxious to see the mysterious baby project.
The sampler you are working on is absolutely stunning....I love the border; it has such a soft flow to it.
This is such an elegant project, keep up the fantastic progress! :)
It's looking beautiful Faye!! You'll be done in no time! :)
You've made a lot of progress on the flowers. I'm intrigued to see your baby project, all the things you make/stitch are always beautiful right down to the packaging.
The suspense is killing me!
I can't wait to see it!
Great progress on the Elizabeth sampler. It looks like a lot of progress to me.
