A start, a finish and pouches.....

Greetings fellow stitchers~~ I have been away from the computer longer than anticipated...But, I have a very good excuse! First, may I say thank you, thank you for all the lovely comments about my recent sampler finish "Sarah Elizabeth Brooke 1842".. I am humbled and soon I hope to have it framed for display here at the carolinastitcher home....

I have been sewing as much as I can, diligently mailing out project pouches to those of you who contacted me...Today, I managed to finish out all the orders but one...I am still pondering the fabric to use for this dear lady.... But, I was able to sew up a few extras...
These are the smaller pouches good for your scissors, needles and the like.......

These are up for grabs, so email me if you are interested...
approximate size is 5 x 7 inches....
***Edited, These are all spoken for now...Thanks!~***

I have fun picking out a co-ordinated linings..here are a couple peeks..

I also sewed up a project pouches set....I thought this would be perfect Valentine gift to YOURSELF~~

I was able to finish my February CCN Cottage....All I need to do is pop it into the frame...
This is turning into a fun 2012 series....

40 ct light Exampler linen
Gloriana and npi silks

Finally, I was excited about stash diving and locating my copy of Sarah Munday Sampler by Threads of Gold..
After I saw Paulette's blogpost when she was at the Attic, I remembered I had kitted this one up long long ago....I knew it just had to be my next biggie project....

Well, I need to get settled for the night....Downton Abbey will be coming on soon...With this head cold I am nursing, I  will be watching the DVR'd episode tomorrow night!!

Hope everyone has a fantastic week....
brrrr.....Stay warm!!

Faye

The pouches are darling! Great choices on the coordinating fabrics. I haven't even finished January yet so February is going to be put on hold. I plan on starting March next. Maybe I can get it finished before the month arrives. Won't make any bets though!
Hope you feel better soon! I caved and bought the Season 2 dvd @ Costco and watched the remaining episodes. LOVED IT!

I have this one, too! Did you ever go to Edna's house and see the original? Knock your socks off stunning! If anyone wants to find it, best chance is probably www.emlis.com. Edna's daughter should still have what's left of her TOG stock, I imagine.
Pouches look great!
