Hello from stormy North Carolina.... T-storms popping all around us...
I have been somewhat of a lucky lady this Month.... And, no, I'm not Irish... but I did feel like I hit a
pot-o-gold with a few envelopes landing in my mailbox!!
Before that though, I thought I would show you this week's finish....
A TOTALLY fun stitch and I already have a unique finish in mind to work on the next couple weeks...
A Pineberry Lane prim design....
Autumn on Marigold Lane
36 ct coffee stained linen
specified overdye threads
Isn't that big ole pot the cutest with the golden flowers popping out??? I love the way the alphabet goes up the side of the sampler.... More to come on that finish.....
I also was blown away to have won The Silver Thimble's recent giveaway....I am somewhat of a novice at quilting although I use lots of fabrics in my finishing.... But, check out what Pat sent to me...I cannot wait to find the time to delve into this book and the fabric she sent!!
Back to Charm School
by Mary Etherington and Connie Tesene
She even sent me a copy of the authors magazine...The Goat Gazette!!!
Pat is a retired school teacher and seems to be a hoot~~ You really should go take a peak at her awesome blog..........Thanks again Pat!!
I also was thrilled to win Nina's giveawayl...THE Nina!! So, needless to say I was waiting anxiously for the envelope from way across the water to arrive....
Lookie at what I won......
Lots of charts and 10 skeins of Nina overdyed threads....gorgeous!!
Thanks so very very much Nina~~! I have a project in mind to use these fantastic threads with....And, I plan on stitching several of the charts you included.... Thank you~~~
Last but not least, Michelle of Lucy's Lampshade just up and sent me a few goodies...just because.... Don't you just love that about stitchers??? Such a giving bunch~~~ She wanted me to see the tape measure ribbon she had found....too cute!
She not only sent me ribbon, but cute pins, a couple charms and some handmade note tags...
THIS is one talented lady~~ Stroll on over to her blog, but make sure you have a full mug of coffee...you're going to want to stay a good while!!
And, yes, I have an idea on how I can use this cute tape measure ribbon.... Thanks so much Michelle~~
So, that's it for this week.....I have had pouches rolling out the door...Thanks so,so much to all of you who have ordered! I truly appreciate it and I plan on keeping it up...Just expanding a bit to include felted wool pouches in the 5 x 7 small size....email me if you are ever interested in any of the pouches or my finishing services....It has been a humbling experience!
Well, need to sign off...Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone~~
