...a little stitching update.....

Hello to all~~~ I keep reading about lots of you who are getting the kiddos ready to return to school....It IS that time of year! Although we began our 6th week of school today on the Year Round schedule at our school... In about 3 weeks we will be getting ready to pause for a 3 wk break..ahhh..

*****
I was able to celebrate with a couple stitching buds this past weekend by visiting the new and relocated location of  LoneStar Mercantile...What a feast of wools, cross stitching and everything prim....I will have more about this unique and plentiful store in the future...

I was able to gift to dear Linda a set of pouches out of the last of my BlueBerry Crumbcake fabric...I love the medium blue family and she was thrilled to have a new set of project pouches to stuff with newly kitted projects...
Happy Birthday Sister Linda!!~~
******

I did want to show you a not so wonderful photo of my progress on Hannah Jackson...I am SO loving this sampler, the linen, the silks.....

...see my last post for details and progress....

I still love the blues, greens and golds from those samplers of days gone by...

***
One of my talented repeat customers, April, just keeps sending me goodies to finish for her...I love it! She is a fantastic stitcher and always gives me full creativity when it comes to the finishes I select.... With her permission, here are a few of the latest finishes I returned to her last week...Please visit her blog for details about charts, linen selections and thread information....

5 x 7 fold over envelope.....

...the inside needed an appliqued wool heart.....

...a Patriotic stitch attached to a weathered box...with chenille attached...

A diddie bag to hold all kinds of sweets for the trick or treaters come October....

LHN ornies with wool and hemp rick rack from Victorian Motto...winning combinations....

....a sweet wall hanging for her DD.... Who loves a sock monkey....

..Plum Street Samplers Halloween Hornbook finished into a wall hanging that can also be used as a table scarf....
This photo shows the beautiful mottled fabric she chose....perfect for Halloween~~

Enough to feast your eyes upon??? I hope to showcase other stitchers finishes soon....Keep sending them on!!...Fall is upon us and dare I say, the holidays will be around the corner....

If you're still with me on this long photo heavy post, Thanks! I always appreciate your comments and feedback....Very inspirational for me~~~ I thank you.....

Until next time...Keep those needles moving and enjoy all the fantastic designs that are out in the market now....

Smiles,

Faye

All your finishing looks beautiful, of course.

I'm glad you posted about Lone Star. I had no idea they were moving, and I would have been terribly sad to make a special trip out to the fairgrounds sometime next month only to discover that they were gone!

Adorable finishes Faye!! Love that blueberry crumbcake fabric! Your sampler, Hannah, is coming along beautifully! Interesting that you go back to school for a month then have a break! I wonder what year round school will look like here in BC?! I kind of like the idea of a number of small breaks throughout the year!
