Finishing Friday......

Greetings everyone~~~

Hope your week has been fantastic as we meander through these lazy days of summer... Just think, in two short months, it will be early October and we will be looking for frost on the pumpkins!!
Enjoy each day we are given.....

I have had a busy week....My pouch orders are nearly filled, I am staging 3 customers finishing pieces and have been model stitching along with stitching on my french sampler a bit...Its been busy!

I wanted to share with you my latest finish of the Prim Sisters Club stitch I mentioned on my last post.. Nothing like taking that finished stitch and making it into something you can admire and enjoy...
The Sowing Sampler
Notforgotten Farms
Prim Sisters Club of Country Sampler
30 ct Weeks Tin Roof linen
GAST overdyes

Here are a few close ups of the gorgeous fabric that came included in the kit....
The top grey fabric in the one included...I added some of my homespuns and calicos with it as I wanted to make it into a diddie bag rather than framing it....This is the back of the bag...

And, this is the front of the bag.....at the bottom...

This is the top of the bag where I attached the corded handle....When my stitching friend Linda and I were in Virginia recently, she showed me a few tricks of the trade on making cording...( She IS a master corder!!) .....So, I decided to try my hand at turning twine into cording and it worked!
This bag may hold a few of my vintage laces....we'll see.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have been accepting quite a few finishing orders here lately and thumbs up to you guys....I am seeing alot of autumnal stitches...Perhaps small Halloween and fall trees will be going up..or, perhaps a basket of ghouish pin pillows will be perched on the hutch....I just know I am loving all the stitcheries being sent to me to finish!! Send them on!!
I leave you with a sneak peak of a little bit of what I am talking about....
Here's hoping everyone has a fantastic weekend....
and you will be enjoying family, friends and stitching...
Blessings,
Faye
Sounds like you have been a busy bee having a lot of fun making some pretty stuff while I've been nearly dead under the heat wave here in the desert :O Love your little bag you just finished with the stitched piece! Your fabric selection looks really fun, too!!
Thanks Faye! I need to pouch Lydia and my mind is blank. I planned for a rope handle but couldn't come up with a something a little different for the pouch. Seeing your side treatment and edges is waking up my brain!! What a awesome job you did!
What a wonderful finish! Wish I had joined that when it first started, as I've loved every single thing each designer has done. Of course, your finishing just makes it all the more better :)
I'm about to bust a gut wondering if that bottom picture is one of mine, lol! So exciting, my anticipation is building!!!
