Tansy~Yarrow~Rue

Good morning all!!!  I wanted to share my latest start.... When visiting Lonestar Mercantile last weekend, I happened upon the newest design by Pineberry Lane...I LOVE their designs and couldn't resist the treat.....

Tansy Yarrow Rue
Pineberry Lane
25 ct Country Mocha
DMC floss

Rarely will you see me stitch with a hoop or Qsnap, however, when I am stitching over one or on a 25ct, I will pull them out.....Just makes for a neater stitch I think....Any other time, I stitch in hand.
I love the autumnal colors in Tansy....When Linda and I were at all the VA shops last month, we saw quite a few designs stitched on smaller counts....I loved the new look of the design when they were tiny....So, I decided to experiment on this piece......

I loved the flower patch Tansy is standing in....Looks like all the flowers are at their peak just as mine are....

AND, I wanted to make sure everyone knew about NotforgottenFarms challenge freebie.... Found **here**...Its a creative finish challenge.... Will you have the most unusual finish??? Go for it!! I am going to try my best to stitch this cute pumpkin...time permitting.....

Well,,..... Teacher Workday today....So, I need to sign off and head on in!!
Make it a great day everyone...

Faye

I saw Lori's freebie. Been thinking long and hard on it but if I never print it out and get started it won't matter what the finish will be, will it? LOL Can't wait to get up to Lonestar Mercantile, either. How was it? Like I need to ask ....

Love fall project! This one is on my list and I'm very tempting now... Ummmmmmm Thanks for reminding us about the challenge at Lori's place. I will see what I can do...

I have lots of Scarlet Letter's 25 count - thanks for the idea to use it for over one - which I HATE - but I think I can handle it on 25!

Beautiful! Which shops did you go to in Virginia again? I live in Winchester, VA and there aren't any needlework shops close by. I think the closest is two hours away in Alexandria. It's called "In Stitches" and it's awesome.

I wanted to ask you about the q snaps. I normally don't stitch with a frame or hoop either, but I am using a q snap for a heaven and earth designs project and find it helpful. I am about to have to move it and the thread I am about to use is metallic. Will the frame damage the metallic thread if I move it over the already stitched portion?

I have been really enjoying all of your finishes. I think I will be sending you some in the near future!

Hugs,
Chelle

I love stitching over one too! And when you start this, you can't go back to 2/2 (or just 1/2 on 40 count)! You'll see!
Love the new Pineberry Lane pattern. You've done such a great work on it.

Tansy's looking great so far. I just finished stitching on Notforgotten's challenge piece. Now to just find a clever way to finish it! I'm sure you'll come up with something adorable if you have the time (and I hope you do).

The pattern is really very beautiful as all the Pineneberry Lane's works, I also love so much tiny finish but i don't like to stitch one to one for two reasons: one because the crosses are not perfect and regular and second because I really don't relax myself at all!!! So I stitch usually on 40 ct linen 1 thread on 2 streads!

That looks like it's going to be such a fun stitch. You're off to a great start!

I became addicted to over one ten years ago, then I moved to Maine to house with more doorways than walls. So all my little pieces fit right in. I do like a full size project now and again, but prefer that look of over one. Beautiful job Faye, I had seen the design on the latest patterns, but I like seeing it in progress. It is a TREAT.

Keep on stitching.
