Rebecca Robinson.....

.....I began Rebecca Robinson on December 15..... As part of the celebration to commemorate Nicola's fiftieth birthday in 2013, she formed this unique blog... Found here....
As we all stitch samplers from The Scarlett Letter, I continue to have a truer appreciation of the tireless work young girls from the 1800's put into samplers that have stood the test of time.... Rebecca was no exception.....
...here is a picture walk of my progress...

...please click photos for a better view....

Although it will undoubtedly take me the majority of 2013 to stitch dear Rebecca (... Yes, she is HUGE...), I am loving each and every honeysuckle blossom along the way....

Hope you are somewhere safe, warm and stitching.......
Peace,
Faye

Oh my goodness this is beautiful! I can't wait to watch your progress on this. I have added you to my reader so I can keep up with you throughout the year.

I love, love that it has honeysuckle on it. Reminds me so much of the south....

Blessings and hugs and keep that needle moving! :)

It is fabulous! You have really tempted me with this one! But I have vowed to work on UFOs this year and try to resist where I can. Since this is such a large piece, it makes it easier!

I have several pieces on the 'long term' list as well. You keep plugging away, they eventually get finished! Laura

I have had a recent interest in the history of samplers and the lives of the young girls who stitched them. I read "The History Of Samplers" from front to back. Great book!
That's a beautiful sampler. Your progress is terrific considering you only started it on December! It would take me forever to get that far.

Beautiful stitching progress on Rebecca, Faye. I love that the honeysuckle border flowers are different colors. So, you're going to pace yourself and 'make it last' are you? LoL

I think that everyone that stitches should stitch on a reproduction sampler at one point in time. Simply because of the beauty of each and also to learn the history. Your Rebecca is coming along very nicely! :-) I've chosen SDW, but have not started on it yet...
