Wynter Peacocks and the Ladies Prim Society....

....greetings this fine Sunday morning..
Hello fellow stitchers....good morning!!!!!
I wanted to share a recent stitch and finish.... For myself... Dyeing to Stitch shop in Virginia is hosting the Ladies Prim Society in 2013.....well, those of you know me, knew if it involved "prims", it caught my ear.... The wonderfully talented Nan Lewis of Threadwork Primitives designed the first design of several to be released this year....Blackbird Designs will be the other contributing designer... Win-Win!!!
(Please click photo for the best look....)

....a sewing pouch with every single item needed for the finish included..... I did distress my linen once done.... Isn't it darling??

...button and nice hemp provided.... Instructions included...

...nice brown wool felt to blanket stitch for pins and needles...check out the beautiful lining fabric! ...all included...

..here it is laying flat.... And, yes, I had to put a little "carolinastitcher" uniqueness on the backside of my sewing pouch...

..it started out with stitching the year on the back....and then this prim wool penny flower developed.....

Nan even provides instructions for stitching the sides together...a uniquely prim touch!
For those Prim Ladies out there, stitch and finish this nice piece... I plan on actually using mine to hold needle packs... And for any of you who are a tad bit intimidated with the finishing part, don't be! Truly easy.... And as always, I'm here to help you!
....hoping everyone's Sunday is filled with friends, family, faith and fun...

Blessings,
Faye

Beautiful! I love how you've made it your own. I agree with you that your readers shouldn't be afraid to finish such a project themselves. I haven't done a lot of my own finishing but one thing I've learned is that prim pieces are very forgiving.

Beautiful! Mine's almost done. I'll be glad to get it finished and watch for the next kit.

What a wonderful finish! Love the wool appliqué on the back. I've got mine stitched but haven't tackled the finishing yet. I'm guessing you did something really clever with the members tag. Wish I had you eye for detail and ideas!

It looks great Faye and your finishing touches are wonderful. Do tell - what did you use to distress it?

Yours turned out so pretty. I've not started mine yet...in the middle of a current project and want to finish it first. After seeing yours all stitched up it makes me NOT want to wait but to start it right away. Is it truly possible to have too many wips going at one time?? haha I also love the extra special touches you added to the back. It's a great way to personalize your pouch.

I'm a Prim Lady as well. Haven't started mine. Did you use the threads in the project they sent or changed them up? Mine looks like it's all browns but your's looks blues. Just wondering....haven't started as I'm working on the SamSarah Perpetual Calendar and that takes tons of time.
