What a glorious day this has been here in the Carolina's!!!! Milder temperatures.... Slowly signs of spring are popping up... Thank goodness... I'm tired of being cold!....
Last night I had the opportunity to attend preview night of the Spring Open House at Lonestar Mercantile in
FuquayVarina NC.... Not only was it pure prim eye candy, the warm smells filled the shop while friends gathered .... Such an enjoyable event....
I've had a design swirling in my head about a unique finish I wanted to introduce... I just needed time to get the thoughts out of my head into a hands on end product.... My previously stitched Tulip House Companion piece from Blackbird Designs " A Stitchers Journey Book" was a perfect fit for the 3 1/2 by 5 1/2 opening.....
...a pin pillow tray.... A distressed, painted and waxed frame with unique handles for a padded insert..... The under side is fully covered with felt....
I also finished the small accessory pillow to match.... I so enjoy using antique lace and old bone buttons as embellishments.....
..another view of the unique distressed handles...
I will be offering this as one of my finishes upon request... Please email me if you have a design approximately 3x5 in size that you want to be uniquely finished...It would be perfect finished as a pin pillow tray... ( my email is found in my Complete Profile...)
Here's hoping everyone has a fantastic Sunday!!! Don't forget to turn those clocks up by an hour.....
Smiles,
Faye

Oh my....what a beautiful finish!
That is just adorable, Faye!
there are a few mini hyacinths poking up in the corner of my driveway/walk, and a glimpse of purple from the tulip tree! I'm ready for spring, too! Thanks for the Spring Forward reminder!
How lovely! A very unique finish. I'm feeling inspired...
Just beautiful! I love Lone Star Mercantile. I wish I could have gone to open house but it is a little too far to drive from the mountains. I always stop when I pass through that area.
Beautiful work, beautiful finish and I love your tray!
