Two new starts....
Hello friends.....
First off, I'd like to say a hearty Thanks! to all who visit and take the time to comment.... It humbles me so... And, I think there are a few Rebecca Robinson admirers out there! The Scarlet Letter has some of the most beautiful samplers to stitch.... I highly recommend taking a look....
I have had a chance to start two rather large pieces over the last few days.... Soon, school will be back in session, so my stitching time goes way down, but I still wanted to begin with two.... And here they are....
Ann Priest 1841 by Scarlett House has been patiently lingering in my basket since October 2012.... I love everything that Tanya Brockmeyer has charted, so starting her was a must... I had a darker piece of Newcastle 40ct flax on hand and all the called for cotton overdyes....
It does have bands of over one using the tent stitch, so I jumped right in and took care of "Claybrook School" right away...
The hues of greens, taupes and golds are brilliant in this piece!!!!
My other start, meager as it is, is my Scarlet Letter piece, And All was for an Appil.... After seeing all the stitching experts out there stitching her up, I just HAD to stitch this unique Adam &Eve design... I hope to get all the outlining done before filling in..... Will I be tempted though to get my hands on those colorful silks?
.....please excuse her wrinkles.... Oops!!
Well, I need to sign off... As spring unfolds in your neck of the woods, take time to enjoy......
Blessings,
Faye

Dear Faye,
the Ann Priest looks already wonderful - with all those trees and the house - very promising!
But I also love the other one!
Have a nice day!

Both great pieces! It'll be fun to watch your progress as you complete them. I'll be really impressed If you can not touch those colorful silks in AAWFAA before you finish those outlines!
Gorgeous start, I have Ann Priest all kitted and she's calling my name ;-). Love AAWFAA too!!!!
Both are beautiful! I love the greens in Ann Priest.
Wonderful starts. I will certainly enjoy watching your progress on these 2 projects.
Wonderful beginnings! Spring seems to have gardening on your mind... trees and appils!
Two wonderful new starts!! You've reminded me that I need to get back to AAWFAA. Maybe seeing yours will inspire me!!
I have Ann Priest all ready to go as well but I am trying to stick to my goal of only working on UFOs this year. We'll see if your progress is just too much of a temptation!!

Great new starts Faye!
Love the Ann Priest piece, Faye.
And I'm sure And All... will soon look like more than a stitched version of Hangman. :)
Both are looking lovely, great starts
What great choices for starts. I really look forward to seeing your progress on both... Take Care and have a wonderful day
I really like both of your new starts!! And, if you want to get all the outline done first on AAWFAA and you get tired of stitching with the black you can switch off and work on Ann for a few days who has lots of pretty colors.;) Great choices to work on together!! Look forward to seeing progress on both.
Love both of your new starts, especially Ann Priest.
Lovely starts x
Beautiful new starts Faye! I really love the AWFA sampler because it's like colouring with stitches! So much fun!
Faye, you made excellent stars on these. I know I would never get through all the outline stitching. The colors would be talking to me in my sleep. Have a great weekend. MartyG
Love both of these starts..nice progress already!
