Designer spotlight~ and a lot more....

...Greetings friends & fellow stitchers~

....Tis the season for...... Stitching, of course!! I know we sometimes feel like we are all getting caught up in the hustle & bustle a little too much~ don't forget to pause and take a deep breath.... Things will all fall into place:)

This fall, I stitched up a design by 4 My Boys Designs that had lingered in my basket way too long... It's simple yet has a couple specialty stitches..... I finally sewed it up as this completed finish....

Bless us each and everyone
...using the specified Weeks threads, stitched on 36 ct Exemplar linen 1 over 2

Bless us each and everyone
You see the long stitch in the pine needles and the Vertical long cross stitch in the red border...

Bless us each and everyone
I liked the red border stitch so much, I used a scrap of linen and stitched another band to be attached on the back of the ornament.....

Bless us each and everyone
And I sewed the back with a couple pockets to hold needfuls, greenery or perhaps, a sweet note to the recipient....little details that are simple~

I also have had a chance to make progress each morning on my newest sampler stitch......it's my go-to stitch, that sits by my chair that I stitch on before work while I have my coffee....

With thy Needle & Threads reproduction sampler~
Harriette Elizabeth Coe Sampler
...specified cotton overdyes on 36 ct Vintage Cedar Plank linen, 1 over 2

And, I'm tickled to say, the top half is full of the Eyelet Stitch....

I've gotton lots & lots of practice... Nice soft colors...

Lastly, I was able to get to the framer recently to pick up a few framed pieces.... I'm still thinking of the perfect location of each, but here they are...

And All was for an Appil

I fell in love with this rope moulding....

Well.... I hope everyone remains happy, warm and blessed~

Your ornament finishes are always so sweet! Love that Harriet sampler. Your mornings are certainly used wisely. All your framing choices are wonderful. Yeah, deciding where to hang them does get to be a challenge. Enjoy the rest of your day, and have a great last few days before break!

Faye, you are so creative! Love all of your finishes and stitching. How do you get such great pictures of your stitching? Do you have a software program that puts the edge around the photo?

Oh wow, I don`t know what to comment on first!

The framed pieces are all gorgeous! The little finish at the beginning is really sweet and I really liked the touch of the red that you added to the back, very clever & cute! And that sampler - 1 over 1 *sigh* so very pretty! Now you are tempting me with another beautiful `Brenda`sampler!

Your ornament is darling Faye, I do a little pocket on the back of our yearly family ornaments so that we can write a sentence or two of memories of our Christmas for that specified year. Its fun to read each year as we put up décor. I adore your samplers all framed and beautiful! You have done gorgeous work top to bottom! The new WTNAT sampler is stunning too!

Like many others who commented before me, I adore your Adam and Eve sampler! Such beautiful work and I love the pattern. Do you know if the chart for this pattern is still available and if so, who produces it/where could I purchase a copy? I have scoured the internet to no avail. Thanks so much for any information you can provide! I enjoy seeing our beautiful work so much!
