Hello my friends and happy Monday..... My last Monday before returning to school.... I'm getting excited though about greeting my group of First Grade darlings back on Aug 25..... Even after all these years, I still have a burst of adrenaline and excitement anticipating which precious children will be placed in my classroom.. In my care for the next 10 months... To nurture, lead and educate.... It's all so exciting for parents, students and staff!
Today, I want to announce a my Back~to~School Giveaway..... No, it won't be school supplies! Rather, a Carolina Stitcher project bag to help YOU organize yourself with your projects.... Additionally, I'd like to share a few project bags that have left my sewing room.....headed back to their rightful owner as they get a jump on organizing their stitch projects... And, of course, with gift giving season nearing, I'm filling lots of requests for bags to give as gifts....

12 x 15" bag and 7 x 9" bag made as a set.... 42.00 plus postage/set.... I have enough fabric for about 7 more sets of this ever popular fabric... It's one of my favorites!

Your project bags are gorgeous, so much nicer than zip-lock bags. Back to school, I still remember, from my far away childhood, new white socks, finding my P.E. Kit etc. Always new pencil, sharpener and rubber.

Hi Faye- Our daughter-in-law just graduated from St. Mary's here in Northern California with her doctorate in education. She is now Dr. Sara Roat and is currently teaching 1st grade. She is also gifted in the ability to teach disabled children and we are so blessed to have her in our family. May you be blessed with an outstanding school year and I pray that both students and parents alike recognize your devotion to education! Oh and your finish work is beautiful as well!

Faye, it's such a delight to see how excited you are about the start of a new term and academic year. This enthusiasm and deep affection for your work will definitely percolate its way down to the children and they will feel secure and cared for. This can't help but bring about a happy class of youngsters keen to learn and full of wonder. I taught many years ago, not at your end of the age range but right at the other end and have to say, each brings it's challenges and its rewards.
