A most Patriotic picture walk......

What an absolutely glorious day this has been! Our temps were mild with a light breeze...I hope it's been nice where you are.....

I'm humbled and and amazed at the response I've received for my Summer Giveaway~ You guys really have been amazing with the over 230 blogpost comments and 147 email responses.... Good luck to each of you as I'll be drawing a name tomorrow and posting the winner of a few Carolina Stitcher goodies....

Tonight I'd like to share a few recent Patriotic and Americana themed finishes I've worked up for customers.... Our country is reeling from recent acts of violence, so my patriotism and pride was poured into each of these finishes as a way of dealing with these awful tragedies...
Lady Liberty~ A club design offered through Dyeing to Stitch~
She proudly holds the American flag~

Yes.... Good things come in pairs~ Finishing these simultaneously was fun~

I have to say the directions for finishing these pin drums were excellent!

They have both received back to their rightful owners to enjoy this upcoming 4th of July~

Liberty by Threadwork Primitives .... This ditty bag was made to hang on a door filled with vintage flags or the like.....

I added a few Carolina Stitcher details for good measure...

Fully lined with piped edges.... Hand stitched details~
Sweet Land by Heartstrings Samplery.... A classic pin pillow filled with crushed walnut shells for additional weight~
Littlehouse Needleworks.... This little pillows screams Patriotc, doesn't it? It's vibrant and very classic.

As you all know, I love layers!

Long may She Wave~ With My Needle Designs....

There is a lot of detail work that goes into this Needlebook.... A true labor of love~

Ellen Chester is famous for her incredible teaching pieces.... I marvel at her talent~

so, that's it for now.... I will be back tomorrow and I hope you'll all join me~

Many blessings....

Faye

Always love seeing your finishes! Where do you buy your fabric? You seem to have just the right fabric to compliment the piece you're finishing.

Such beauty in the art of stitching Your finishes alway make me smile and inspire me to stitch yet another piece. I had the most patriotic of all experiences last week....I traveled from Texas with the flag draped casket of my beloved husband to Arlington National Cemetery where we witnessed the beautiful and stately full honors burial. As the AF chaplain put it, "Sam honored his flag for 47 years, now it was time for the flag to honor him." Incredible service! So now I'm stitching all the flag charts I get my hands on. Thank you, Faye, for the inspiration!
