Hello fellow stitchers and friends....Happy President's Day weekend....
Coming to you from Cherry Grove Beach SC where the day was a mild 60 degrees...We are bracing for a rain event however.... But, I have plenty of K-cups for the Kureig, lots of stitching kitted up and my sweet beagle (...and hubbie too...) here to keep me company!
I know I said on my last post that Sarah Munday would be my next sampler....But, in fact I lied....As I am waiting for my silk conversions to come together for Sarah, I began stitching a smaller sampler in the meantime.... I had the opportunity to see the stitched piece in October when I met Tanya Brockmeyer of The Scarlett House and of course I fell in love with it~ Emma Mills 1839 has patiently been sitting in my basket waiting....And, now it is her time....
Emma Mills 1839
The Scarlett House
40 ct Pearled Barley
specified overdyed cotton threads
So, that's my start....Will surely look forward to stitching her up this weekend....hopefully...
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend~~
Is that Vermont Country Blend I am smelling in the kitchen???
Many blessings~~~
Faye

That is so funny you started Emma - I started her on Thursday! I just have a little bit of the border done. I also ordered Sarah Munday from Em-Li's. :)
LOVE those colors on your new sampler start!!!
Perfect choice for a new start!
Such a pretty new start! Your stitching is beautiful!
Lovely design you picked out to stitch. :) Sounds like my south Florida weather has made its warm way up yonder to you.

Oh, how lovely your sampler is going to be. The colors are gorgeous together.
Hugs,

Ooooh, it's soooo pretty! I love the colors!
It really doesn't matter if you lied. Whatever you're stitching is of interest! You always pick great projects.
Love your Scarlett House sampler! The colors look beautiful.
I love your Emma, the colors are beautiful!!! Your bags are very nice.
Great new start Faye! The colours are quite lovely. My DH has been gone most of the day and I've had Vermont Country Blend brewing in my K cups since breakfast. Here's hoping I can sleep tonight!
Love the colors!! So pretty!
Beautiful sampler you're working on! I'm really liking the colors in this one, too, as do the other posters have said..... Your work is always so lovely.
Oh you know I have a soft spot for samplers. This one is going to be amazing!
Can't wait to see it all done.
Beautiful start. i look forward to your progress.
Now Miss Faye, I'm going to have to pay you for PR if you keep stitching and blogging about my designs, lol. I am so thrilled that you like Emma. The antique is sweet, but I thought the colors needed some spiffing up.
Hope you're having a wonderful time at the beach this weekend. You know I'm jealous. I'll email you back tomorrow. I worked on taxes today, and I'm too tired to think.
Wonderful start, I like so much the colours!
Lovely new start x
Great new start , what lovely colours.
Great start! Sometimes you chance your plans, but that alright :-)
greetings from Debby
What a lovely choice. I particularly like the delicacy of the colours of threads and fabric.
Wishing you a good weekend.
Have a wonderful time hold up at the beach and stitching her up!
What an awesome start - isn't that one of the best parts of stitching! So do you put the name of the original stitcher when you do a reproduction? I sometimes (or most) rechart my name or the city or something. I don't know why, I haven't done many so I am curious. Hope you enjoyed your weekend and stayed dry.
Pearled Barley looks really nice!
Lovely start Faye!
What I wouldn't give to be stitching at the beach in SC! Pretty colors for Emma. I love my pillow and pouches you finished for me. Still excited when I look at it. Many thanks!
Great progress on your new start. The colours are very pretty and delicate looking. The fabric on your project bag is very pretty too.
Girl get you some milk and bread and wait for all that snow we are suppose to get:) You'll be stitching for a while, NOT!!!! Have fun see you Tues.

Sure hope the rain veers off course and leaves you alone at the beach, Faye! 60 degrees sounds wonderful to me since it is 30 here right now :)
Lovely new start--will look forward to seeing more!
What a great 'in the meantime' piece! It's cold (that means 45 this winter) and drizzling here - hope it is slow moving and leaves your long weekend alone!
Sounds like the perfect weekend! Cold and rain have settled in in the Charlotte region so you may be getting it soon. Hope you enjoyed yesterday's weather while it was there.
Haven't switched to Keurig yet. Maybe on the Christmas wishlist this year .....
Pretty start! I'm sure I'd go crazy with all those letters, but pretty it is nevertheless :-)
superbe mon amie très beau début !
bisous de France
Lovely new start Faye. x

Great start Faye! Hope you are enjoying the beach.
What a lovely new start! I'm just a tad jealous of you being at the beach! It's snowing here in Winston although not much is accumalating (to my boys' disappointment). Enjoy your time at the beach!
Great new start.
A lovely new start. Looking forward to seeing the progress.
Emma is so pretty!!!! I saw the model at the Attic and had to get her :-).
Beautiful start Faye! I just added this chart to my stash a couple of weeks ago:)
Hope you had a wonderful long weekend!
This is a perfect example of why I need to stop reading blogs, I get inspired to start new projects and I never finish the ones I have! This is a beautiful start, I had not seen this one. Thanks for the enabling!
love the new sampler ;)
Wish I had known you were in the Grove as I was in N Myrtle at Gator Hole and Our Lady Star of the Sea next door. We could of had a coffee and watched the ocean!
Hope you are having a great vacation.
Happy Stitching!
Faye, it looks like Emma is off to a beautiful start! Gotta love February in the south...
