My Token of Love finish....

What's not to love about a red monochrome Quaker sampler?  I will simply let the pictures speak for themselves~

40 count Vintage Pecan Butter linen

Best Used Brick thread by Victorian Motto Sampler Threads

One thread over 2

.....each motif is unique.... just as the young schoolgirls were instructed to do.....

... I can see their linen carefully rolled up at the end of the school day..... I'm sure they wanted to take a closer look after class to see their daily progress...

The nice red overdye dress cotton thread pops against the linen....

Page 1 of my photo journal as I dedicate 2017 as my year of Quaker Stitching~

What will my needle be stitching next??? Wait and see~

I just started Quaker Easter Egg by Bent Creek. It is my first try at the Quaker style and I am loving it. Your red Quaker stitching is amazing.

congratulations on your finish Faye - it's lovely - I can't believe all you do and are able to finish this sampler so fast. I try to eek out a few stitches every night but it just doesn't amount to much and on the weekends there is so much to do. AHHH - the lamenting of the working woman. hugs and wooley-thoughts to you!

I love Red Work and I saw that Makenna on Floss Tube is doing a piece in one variegated DMC shade and it is beautiful. You girls make me want to stitch day and night to get everything done that I want to do!! Surely there will be a stitching room in heaven!!
