So beautiful. One quick question. How do you attach the stitched piece to the top of a wooden box. Thanks in advance.

Beautiful finishes!!
I went to Lone Star recently but a lot of the fall things are gone and Christmas is taking over. Sad to miss so much of her great fall items. It will be November before I am in that area again.

Faye...your finishes are truly awesome! I had read your interview on Scarlet Letter and saw that you have a degree in textiles...WOW! I'm very unfamiliar with this area but it must be that training that influences your creativity and color/texture choices....your phenomenal! I'm looking to further my knowledge in this area...any suggestions on sources? Lisa K

I did it! I finally made it to Lonestar Mercantile Shop yesterday. My husband drove me to a MD appt in Raleigh all the way from Greenville and he so kindly took me to Fuquay to visit the shop. I took pictures too of things I liked. Loved the atmosphere, the smell, the decor, the fabrics! Could go on and on. I am going to try to go on my own with the help of GPS to take a quilt class and then to do the rug hooking. I manage to buy a mid 19th Century wash stand to use as a bedside table, and some fabric to make a box I saw there that had a strawberry needlepunch on top. The lady who designed it was there. Wonderful, wonderful shop and of course wish it was closer to home! Your finishes continue to inspire me!

Nan is correct - your blog and photos ARE eye candy to us all. I was particularly impressed with the pillow with its seam tape ribbon ties. What a clever, attractive way to use those ribbons. And I'd love to know where you shop for your finishing fabrics. The two you used for that pillow are just stunning. I'm wondering if the lines on the checked (is that the right word?) fabric were actually horizontal and vertical and you angled the finish on the bias. It is a beautiful effect. Thank you for such beauty and inspiration.

Beautiful as always. I went to the finisher that my LNS uses and I had to provide the fabric, the floss for the cording, and a photo of exactly what I wanted. I won't be going back! Why should I expend so much mental energy when you've got fabulous ideas I never would have considered? Forgive me.

Like Pam in Va I wonder where you got the fabric for the country stitches finish. The check and the back fabric that has what almost looks like a pineapple-do you know the maker of those two fabrics? Thank you!
