One of my favorites......

When you stitch something many times, it qualifies as one of your favorites~ Many of you have this older classic chart in your inventory at home..... I have to say that one of my all time favorites is an Out of Print chart 18th Century Stitchers Pinwheel by The Goode Huswife ...  I love monochrome stitches.... I love alphabets.... I love pinwheels because they can easily be finished into an ornament..... I love collections~ Take a look......

I've stitched many of them.....

....mostly in reds.... I love red~

Here's a few in a tray to display..... approximately 3" in diameter......

Simple cording.... a charm on the back....

You'll see I like using leftover scraps of linens for my backing fabric.......

I've given a few way as gifts..... I try to stitch a couple each year.....

Needlework Tree Ornaments

Sue Hillis~ Needleworkers Tree

~Another monochrome~

Just choose your color palette

My Stitchers Tree has a thimble charm....and special ribbon.....

That's a few from my personal collection of monochrome ornaments..... tomorrow I'll be showcasing more of the finishing I have done for many of you.....   Stay warm and stitching friends!!   Faye

These are beautiful. Sometimes a simple finish just suits the style of the stitched piece perfectly.

I truly look forward to your posts of the many beautiful stitching finishes that you do. They are better than getting to go to a candy store any day!! I want to let you know how thrilled I was last night to receive three ( I said three!!) of your project rolls from two of my kids. I have seen many different ones but I come back to yours everytime - they are my favorite, and now I am the lucky owner of three of them. (My stitching buds are going to be so jealous!) Merry Christmas and blessings to you for the New Year. : )

Funny, but I can't think of a single pattern that I have completed twice. I may do so with my Prairie Schooler Santas so that each of my children has the same ones, but I haven't gotten there yet. Your pinwheels are great!

I really like all the variations on the ABC pieces! I am finding that I like stitching alphabets too! I may look that one up! I have stitched a few large pieces over again, usually it is for gifts! Not many smalls, as there are so many out there to pick instead! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!
