Mary Beale Tea Cozy... And more!!

Greeting stitching friends!!!! The dog days of summer are upon us and with the Carolina heat and humidity, I find myself stitching and sewing more and more~ I'm not complaining at all.... I love whiling away the hours creating.....

I'm sharing a few recent finishes that have left my craft table and made their way to their owners to enjoy.... I'll let the pictures tell the story ~

Mary Beale designs are older classic pieces that have always withstood the test of time.... This masterfully stitched piece is the Mary Beale Tea Cozy.... These photos in no way do it full justice~

A solidly stitched piece is classic colors..... I included tailored piping with a Mother of Pearl ring atop...

As requested, I added a pocket on the back just the size for a tea packet.....
And, of course, I added the tiniest tea pot charm.... Nothing overpowering ~

Fully lined so to cozy up to the tea pot .....

Mary Beales Tea Cozy~The Boston Tea Party~

The Sampler Lady by Littlehouse Needleworks was another enjoyable project.... Stitched to be made into a stand-up, she really came to life beautifully ~~

Hand-made cording was attached after she was properly stuffed.... You can only imagine how much goes into packing this tightly.....

In honoring another special request, I attached a scissor pocket on the back.... Including a leather lining so not to poke through the prettily stitched pocket......

I think she's lovely.... From all sides ~

Another classic stitch to enjoy for a good time to come.....

Another classic stitch I recently finished for a fellow sweet stitcher is Hedgerow Birds by Blackbird Designs ~ She wanted a larger shoulder bag using this 2 sided stitch.... Here is my interpretation......

Shades of Gray, Purples and Taupes... I made a larger shoulder bag... Approx dimension is 14" by 18"...

Lined....

Button accents....

Double sided.....

Well, there's 3 projects that I SO enjoyed being a part of....... A true labor of love.... Aren't I one lucky lady???

Happy weekend all.....

Faye

Great finishing. As a finisher myself, it's always fun to see other people enjoy working on their customers' work as much as I do. Ironically I finished that same tea cozy a couple years ago, but my customer was going to put it in a shadow box. The bag turned out really nice, too. I love to do stand ups. Most of mine are needlepoint but I'll get an occasional cross stitch one.
I've been following you for awhile. I like your style. I think all of us finishers have a different niche. Isn't that great?!!

Well that was easy Mary Beale has a site, ordered now to put it in rotation to do. I am one of those stitchers who works on one until finished.

These are fabulous. That tea cozy pattern is new to me. I love it. And yes, I assume you have a garage full of stuffing to get that really solid look
