....Happy Thursday all.....
....Well,.... The time comes when one has to say good bye to a dear, dear friend and colleague.... Good news: she is retiring in excellent health, has a fantastic outlook and a retired husband waiting at home to travel with....Sad news for me: she's my BFF here at school.... We lean in each other.. We have laughed, cried, nurtured and stood by each other for MANY years.... Really, I am SO very proud of her!!!!
A special friend deserved a special gift from the heart.... So I made her this~
Mary Valentines Handework by With thy Needle & Thread.... We cried this morning when I gave it to her~ she's always been appreciative of hand made goodies....
I took an old chalkboard... Stained, painted, distressed and mounted handles to make a tray.....
My favorite chenille surrounds the stitchery... It reads: "Forget me Not Sis".. ( I added the word Sis because she IS like a sister to me~)
Coffee stained ( we share a cup if coffee each morning to start our workday..), with old buttons.....
Hand tatted lace.....with our names as a rememberance~
(My bird is Weeks Aged Pewter instead of the called for GAST Sage)..
All backed with wool felt ~
Here's to lots of fun and relaxation Jean! Let the good times roll, be safe and know I love you Sis~
Always..... Faye

A quick freebie~ thank you Primitive Hare~
Hello friends and stitchers.....
.... I fell in love with Isabel's latest freebie.... The Primitive Hare is so generous with free charts.... With my "red" obsession lately, this one was hard to resist!
32count linen using Victorian Faded Red~ stuffed with sawdust~Isn't that heart in hand motif too cute???
I just HAD to stitch the hand again and make a small project bag to hold my scissors, needles & supplies...
I even stitched that hand on the back of the pin pillow... I told you I liked the heart in hand......
And, finally, I tried making a carolinastitcher style fob using the red hand.. But, it's not for me~ It's halfway across the country by now......
Get ready for the Super Bowl folks.... Tomorrow is the big day!
Smiles~
